WOODWORKING:

Timeframes are explained in each purchasable listing. We provide an estimated shipping timeframe for custom orders and in stock items and try our best to adhere to them. However, please allow some flexibility as we are working with wood, resins, third-party suppliers, and sometimes extended timeframes are needed. We will thoroughly communicate with you when this is to be expected. We are upfront with the turnaround prior to order placement to each client on an individual basis.

How do I know which coffee is going to match my preferences?

Please view our page, "What’s My Roast?" to help guide your decision-making. Or you may choose to order our Coffee Lover’s Variety Bags bundle & save option where you can choose three 8 oz bags of any of our coffees. This way you can experiment with different options! Each product description also describes the flavor and aroma of each coffee.

What type of coarseness do I need to consider?

If you are grinding your fresh beans at home, the following is a guide for coarseness based on what you're brewing with:

Drip coffee:
  Cone filter - Fine
  Flat bottom filter - Medium
Pour Over - A couple notches finer than medium
Espresso - Extra fine
French Press - Coarse
Moka - Extra Fine
Iced coffee - Coarse

Our default coarseness we grind when a customer orders ground coffee will be a medium coarseness which is typical for a drip coffee machine.

If you are purchasing ground coffee from us, feel free to include a note at checkout for which type of coarseness you would like. The note option is in your cart.

What is the shelf life of coffee?

Whole beans stay fresher longer than ground beans. Because of this, we always recommend keeping roasted coffee beans whole up until you're ready to brew.

For better tasting coffee, do not put the coffee in a refrigerator. A refrigerator can create moisture and condensation, damaging your product and ruining the flavor. It also absorbs the other food smells in your fridge.

Always keep your coffee, whether whole bean or ground, in an airtight container and away from direct light. This will extend the coffee's freshness.

How much coffee do I need?

While this is totally up the consumer, a good guide is one 12 oz bag a week.

Here's the breakdown:
A typical coffee scoop holds 2 tablespoons of grounds.

If you use one scoop of grounds per cup of water and fill up the 12-cup capacity of your drip coffee machine daily, you will use 2 ounces of coffee grounds. 2 ounces divided by 12 ounces will give you 6 days.

Again, this is just a guide and will change depending on your consumption.
