Steel Oak is a small business out of Northeastern Ohio, handcrafting live edge furniture and roasting small batch, high quality coffee.
WOODWORKING
We are known for our high end, ultra unique live edge pieces, large and small. Nature is our inspiration and we are always humbled by the beautiful wood we get to work with.
Every piece of furniture is handcrafted by us. We love to mix rustic and contemporary, raw and beautiful, unique and long-lasting. We take special care to ensure quality and craftsmanship.
Keeping the environment and our forests in mind is one of our top priorities. That's why our wood is responsibly sourced from forest management companies in the southwestern PA and northeastern Ohio regions.
The trees we create with are sustainably cut, milled, and then kiln dried. Kiln dried wood is superior because the heat removes bugs and the forced withdrawal of moisture allows stability for the wood to be worked on and longevity for use once complete.
When you work with us, you are revitalizing a tree and giving it all the appreciation it deserves, while being able to enjoy a little bit of nature in your home for years to come.
We can create for the home or the office. Exciting projects we've done include conference tables, dining room tables, coffee and end tables, bookcases, chairs, floating shelves, bar tops, vanities, and stairs. We can also create with epoxy and root or trunk legs.

COFFEE
We roast with beans from all over the world that are sustainably harvested and fair trade - certified. Roasting in small batches allows a higher control of quality.
CHARITY
A driving force and motivation for our business is the ability to donate to local, national, and global animal charities and wildlife rehabilitation centers. We often create and sell a "charity table" with a large portion of sales benefitting an animal charity. Information on the chosen charity can be found in the item's description.
We also offer "Round Up For Charity" which allows all of our customers, whether purchasing woodworking or coffee, to round up to the next dollar at checkout. Information on which charity is benefitting from the "Round Up" can be found on our homepage.
